Happy Birthday Grandpa! and a Trip to St. Pete

Friday night we headed over to St. Pete to see Jenny and Gabe's new house. Jay is going to do the electrical upgrade on it and wanted to see what he was going to be working with. They have a lot or work planned on it, but I think it is going to be beautiful when it's done. The floor plan is great and the old style of it really gives it personality. Anna was so cute and loved showing us around her new house.
Afterwards we went to dinner with them at Harvey's 4th St. Grill. It was nice to see them one-on-one because we normally don't get to talk to them very much at big family gatherings.

Saturday we went to the Pancake Festival where L.J. of course had to be different and only ate sausage - what kid doesn't like pancakes? Mine. Anyway, we went around lunchtime because it was just too cold in the morning.

Saturday night we had Grandpa's Birthday at our house combined with both boys, Erica and Aunt Sherri & Brian (from afar). I know it was hard for him being his first birthday without Grandma, but he held it together pretty well. He was so proud to pass out the cards and Valentine gifts that he had bought for all the kids. I know that he is trying really hard to keep that up since Grandma was always so good at it.

A New Grill...

Bryant liked the cake...

so did Caleb (with his new buzzed haircut)

L.J. just wanted to read with Daddy

Yesterday was a complete lazy day. We didn't venture out of the house until 6:00 when we decided to go to Olive Garden for dinner. It was so cold and windy that there was nothing to do outside. Boring day, but L.J. slept til 9:00am that morning and then took a 3 hour nap so he was in a good mood all day playing in the house.
