Groundhog Day

Monday was rainy and dreary and cool...in the 50’s. After school we just went to Publix and L.J. got the Spiderman 3 movie to watch since we couldn’t go outside. When we got home he received his free Lego magazine and it came with some cool 3-D glasses. For dinner we had rice noodles and Basil Chili Chicken (first time recipe). I have been loving trying new recipes lately.

Groundhog Day! We talked about this day before school Tuesday morning and then at school they watched the news story about Punxsutawney Phil and how he saw his shadow predicting six more weeks of winter. Here in Florida that doesn’t mean much, but the kids thought it was funny. When we got home we made a little groundhog to hang up in L.J.’s art area...complete with lots of glue.

Wednesday was our open enrollment meeting at work so we had a busy morning of paperwork. After work I picked up L.J. and then we went over to Mom and Dad’s to get the pictures transferred off of Dad’s old camera for him. We came home and did the Wii Fit for a while and had some vegetable soup for dinner. Jay had to go to Grandpa’s house to help fix a switch for him so he had a late night. We also watched The Wizard of Oz for the millionth time. I never imagined L.J. would enjoy that movie as much as he does.

After work today I had lunch with Corinne at Ruby Tuesdays. It was great to catch up with her after several months. Then I did a little shopping for Valentine's Day. When I got home I took a picture of all the little figures scattered along the window sill. If it's little, he will play with it.
