Life on the Lake

Thursday while L.J. was at Janie's I stocked up on the food for his lunch for the upcoming week and worked out and cleaned the house. Not too exciting.

Friday was L.J.'s last water day and then we met the family out at Brima. Our favorite little restaurant for lunch was closing on Saturday so we had one last meal there. That night we had a Family Wii Party at Grandpa's house. The boys had a blast playing golf, boxing, and bowling while Jay and I played Guitar Hero with Erica, Kendall and Link. I was the only one who would sing so that was my job all night. It was great to get together with everyone!

Saturday we had t-ball practice and L.J. did pretty good. Jay stayed on the field with him the whole time and afterwards he said "I had a great time with my dad." So cute. Christy, Mom, Dad and the boys came and watched him too. Afterwards we went over to let the boys swim at mom and dad's. That night Mom and I took L.J. to see the Disney Live! Rockin' Road show. He was so tired and I was worried he would fall asleep, but instead he was clapping, singing and dancing in the aisle. He got to see Mickey, Minnie, Buzz, Woody, Tigger and Cinderella. Then we went over to Corey's where L.J. went to sleep while we played games with Christy, Brian, Gina, Scott, Jenn, Corey and Jay. Fun times!

Sunday we went to lunch at Dave and Janie's and then walked down to Carter's party. It was a farm themed swimming party. He was having a great time on the water slide until he slipped and then it took him a little bit to get back into the party. After the party we went to Corey's where he swam all afternoon. Gina, Scott and the boys came out there too so we got to swim with them.

Monday was the first day of Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten for L.J. He's in the same classroom and has the same teachers that he's had all summer so it wasn't that big of a deal for him. The change will be going every day now. They said he had a great day. That night we went to t-ball practice. He got a little weepy since Jay wasn't on the field (the coach is trying to detach the dads from the kids before the 1st game). But he still did well. He had one really good hit and generally understands the hit and run combo. It rained in the middle of practice so the field was really muddy. All the other kids were sliding and getting dirty, but my little non-messy kid didn't even walk through a puddle. too funny!
