Messy playdate, movies and crafts

Tuesday we had a messy playdate at our house...and I do mean messy. It was supposed to be an outside activity, but the rain only stopped long enough for the whipped cream pie fight...which was a blast! We are so lucky to have such great friends who love to have a good time like that. All the kids got into it except L.J. He did NOT like it in his eyes at all and waited inside the house until it was over after I wiped his face off. Funny kid! He did get into the spaghetti noodles, slime and oatmeal concoction that was created near the end of it though. (see pics below)

Yesterday we went to the free kids movies at the Cobb Theater. We saw Shrek the Third, played the arcade games and had Cold Stone ice cream afterwards. Fun!

Today we were meeting friends at Backyard Adventures...wrong move. It was packed with a summer camp group from Plant City, 100+ older kids. Sherry and I were the only ones who made it so we warned the others, stayed for a few minutes, got passes from the manager to come back another time and then went to Sherry's for some play time. Harrison and L.J. played in his playroom and then made a fireworks craft before we left. L.J. and I headed to My Covert Kitchen to make more freezer meals and then to Toys R Us so he could spend some of his gift card from his birthday. What did he buy? More CARS...Snot Rod, Boost and a cool Lightning McQueen with hologram eyes. I think we now have 5 different versions of Lightning.

Tonight he played in the rain, then the mud, then wanted to do the wacky sprinkler (yes...still raining too). He had a blast getting muddy and wet!
