Fire Station and Field Trip

Monday we did a little Father's Day shopping and L.J. ended up with new shoes too. Aren't these just too cute?

Tuesday we had a playdate that started with a trip to the Fire Station for the tour. Miss Tammy who gave the tour was excellent. She was so good at talking down to the kid's level so they stayed interested. They got to see how all the gear protects the firefighters, saw the inside of the fire truck, walked through the living quarters for the firemen and then watched all the firemen slide down the pole. After the tour we went over to Barnett Park to have a picnic lunch and let the kids play in the water. L.J. had a blast playing with all the kids we hadn't seen in a while.

Today I got to chaperone L.J.'s first field trip. He rode the bus with all the kids to Backyard Adventures and then they ran, bounced, slid and played for hours. They also got to eat a pizza lunch there. I had a great time watching him with all his little school friends.
