Spring SingALong and a trip to the Gardens

Thursday we met some of the LMOMs over at Mall at Millenia for the Pottery Barn Kids Sing-A-Long. L.J. and Harrison pretty much cared nothing about the funny guy singing and mainly just stayed in one of the bedroom setups playing with a little phone, the bed pillows and some puzzles. They also became attached to these little velcro ice cream cones. Sherry and I each ended up buying a set of them and L.J. has carried them around every day since then. After the "show" we had lunch together at the mall and then headed home.





Friday we met them down at Hollis Gardens to walk around and look at the flowers in bloom since our theme of the week was Spring. It really amazed me how much fun Harrison and L.J. had together walking around looking at flowers. They were both very concerned when they couldn't see each other. For those of you that don't know these two together, they usually just play by themselves and aren't particularly social kids when we all meet. Now that we've been around each other more lately they have really started to play well together. They were splashing around in the water, picking flowers, running up and down the paths and throwing coins in the fountain.




Later we headed over to Barnett Park and on the walk over L.J. fell and scrapped his knee pretty bad. So for about 20 minutes he couldn't decide if he wanted to play, have a snack or just cry every time I tried to doctor it up. He calmed down finally and he ran around on the not-very-toddler-friendly play area. This park just doesn't have much for his age to do. Then we headed home for a long nap before going to Sonny's with Jay last night and then visiting the boys at mom's house for a while.
