Oink! Oink! We'll be pigs (said in best Chevy Chase voice)

This week was another quiet one, but the weather was beautiful. We spent several hours outside this week just enjoying not sweating to death. L.J. finished up his medicine and has been acting normal so I think we're out of the woods on the flu. Tuesday night he went to mom and dad's while I had a Juniors meeting. Thursday night he went to Dave and Janie's as usual.

We did have a couple cute things happen while we were home this week though.

First situation...Wednesday night he brings the "Buzz/Woody" (Toy Story) DVD down to Jay and wants to watch it. As he hands it to Jay it falls down into the Jay's recliner. We get him occupied with something else and he forgets about it. Thursday he's walking around saying Buzz/Woody. I look everywhere and can't find it. Finally after checking the car, the upstairs, the downstairs and everywhere else I could think of he looks at me and says "Daddy's chair" like "hey lady...it's right there". He remembered all along where it ended up, he just waited to tell me until I had exhausted all other options.

One day this week L.J. found Jay's old underwater camera in a drawer and started carrying it around. He is now obsessed with "Daddy's Cheese" and if he points it at you, you better smile. I'm not quite sure where he gets that from...hehe.

Thursday at lunch he said he wanted chicken so I warmed up some nuggets and put them on a plate with some cheese slices. He ate about 4 or 5 bites and then said he was done. I told him he needed to eat more and he insisted that was not going to happen. When I went to let him down I said "you didn't eat very much"...his reply "noooo treats". I just laughed and said "that's right". I tell him that at night if he doesn't eat a good dinner because he always seems to want a treat before bed. I guess he is listening to me :)

Last night I had a Bunco Party for the Juniors so Jay and L.J. went to the Pig Fest (after L.J. fell on the steps at the party and got a red bruise on his cheek). They were there for almost 4 hours and he said L.J. was really good. I would have loved for him to have a camera with him as L.J. walked around with a "Limp Brisket" sticker on all night (one of the teams that Jay knew). After our party the girls from my moms group and I went to Black and Brew for coffee and chit chat.

Today we went back to the Pig Fest and saw lots of people we knew, ate some BBQ, chocolate dipped key lime pie and the ice cream that L.J. wouldn't let us forget about. There goes the diet!
