All the way to Georgia and no deer!

This past weekend Jay and I went up to the hunting lease with Corey, Jenn, Dawn, Jody, Mark, Teri, Chip and Brandon. I sat in the double stand with Jay Saturday morning and we didn't see a thing moving. Then we went into Hazlehurst for lunch before heading back for the afternoon hunt. This time I sat in one of the stands by myself and Jay was on one of the trees next to me in his climber. We sat until after it got dark and still didn't see anything (other than the big black moth that kept circling my head).

That night we went to Buddy's Feed Barn (which is also a restaurant) for dinner and then sat by the campfire for the rest of the night. It was very relaxing and I slept in Sunday morning so it was definitely a "catch up on sleep weekend" for me.

L.J. spent the weekend with mom and dad. Friday night they went to the First Friday Holiday celebration downtown. L.J. went up to Santa but was still a little shy around him. Saturday mom took him shopping and she said he was really good, but they went through a ton of Dum-Dums to keep him happy. That night they took him to Cypress Gardens. Dad rode the rollercoaster with him several times and mom even tried the Dizzy Dragons. She usually can't take those rides but thought it would be ok if she didn't spin it. Of course L.J. wanted it to be spinning (hehe...that's my boy). Sunday they did some yard work so L.J. played outside all morning. That night when we got back we met them up at Ling's Buffet for dinner.

Last night I had a Juniors meeting so Dave and Janie kept L.J. He was dancing around like crazy when I got there to pick him up. What a character! We had our gift exchange at the meeting and I ended up stealing the present I brought from someone...flavored coffees and syrups...yum!

Today we played courier and delivered some tag art projects that the Juniors helped with to 5 schools in the Winter Haven and Bartow area. L.J. was very good with all the driving and I planned it to where we would end up in Bartow so he could go to the park.

Here's a few new layouts...

Beautiful new layouts - I enjoy seeing all of your layouts.

Sorry to hear the deer hunting was a bust - but it does sound like it was still a fun and relaxing weekend, so not a total bust.
