Parties, visits and Disney!

Here we go...

Last week we did the usual swimming and playing here at the house. Wednesday we went to Kristi's for a playdate where L.J. had a good time snooping through her pantry to find the "pop-pops". All the kids were very appreciative of his "find".



Friday night mom and dad came over and we went to eat at Shell's. L.J. was great in the restaurant. His dinner consisted of calamari and french fries. I think he thought the calamari was chicken nuggets (what he doesn't know won't hurt him).

Saturday mom and I went shopping and then out to Corey's where the Fishers were all swimming. L.J. got in with Corey for a little bit before we headed back for him to take a nap (which didn't happen). That night we went out to the Fishers for dinner and a visit with Scott, Gina, Meghan and the boys. We ended up outside with all the boys taking rides on the red golf cart, 4-wheeler and Corey's Ranger. L.J. had a blast. He loves anything that goes fast and Jay wasn't afraid to give him what he wanted.

Sunday we had lunch at Ed's for Nana's birthday and then headed out to Lake Ariana for Carter's birthday party. L.J. played down by the lake and then in the dirt. He was filthy and sweaty.



Sunday night (after a much needed bath), L.J. and I made our way over to the All Star Music Resort at Disney to meet up with Gina and Meghan. We took the boys swimming that night and then they were off to bed.

Yesterday we went to Disney. We were supposed to meet Mylene at the entrance at 10am to get our passes, but she was running late so we rode the monorail around for a while to the different resorts. It was SOOOOO HOTTTTTT!!!! L.J. and I both were drenched before we even made it inside. Once we got in though, we got strollers and the boys were a little better. We rode the carousel and Dumbo. L.J. is not a fan of waiting in line, we have completely spoiled him with Cypress Gardens. We took a tour through Minnie and Mickey's houses and then L.J. played at the Toon Park for a while. After that we decided to abandon the strollers and take the train back to the entrance. We were only there for about 3 hours, but that was really enough for those boys (and us moms). If we had paid to get in we would have stayed longer. We went back and ate lunch at the food court at the hotel and then went swimming. Later that night we all got cleaned up and drove out to the McDonald's at the entrance to the All-Star resorts. L.J. ate good the whole time we were at Disney. He must be going through a growing spurt. Then we went back to the gift shop and L.J. got some pirate Mickey ears, a stuffed Pooh and a Mickey basketball.

Today we got up and went to the Contemporary Hotel for breakfast with the characters at Chef Mickey's. L.J. loved them from far away and was waving hi to thme like crazy, but as soon as one would come near the table he would freak out. I finally got a pic of me and him with Minnie (I guess she seemed the least dangerous to him). I'll post that one later since it's on Gina's camera.



Now we're back at home and back to a normal nap. We had a good time, but next time we will go when it's cooler :)
