This past weekend we went to Aunt Christy's. Bryant had a Christmas program on Friday and we went to watch him sing. It was outside so you really enjoyed it. Papa held you up so you could see and every time they finished a song, you clapped really hard. The rest of the weekend all three of you boys ran around outside and wore yourselves out.Today we went to have your 18 month pictures taken. While Mommy was dreading this a little bit after the last photo session, YOU WERE WONDERFUL!!!! We had a good photographer who was great at making you smile and was very quick taking the pictures. I can't wait to get them back.

Tonight I took you down to the Mistletoe Marketplace here in Eagle Lake. It was a little hometown festival with craft vendors, food, hayrides, elephant and pony rides and lots of lights. You just wanted to run through all the lights, knock on the gingerbread house door (which was just your size) and eat your lollipop from Santa.

Today was our December playdate with Lakeland Moms on the Move at Peterson Park. We had a cookie and ornament exchange for the moms, and all of the kids got to run around on the playground. Most of them that is...you seemed to have your sights on the grass mounds, pine needles, and baseball field. I think you're the only kid I know that goes to the park to not play on the playground. Anyway, you seemed to enjoy running around outside.

Well you had quite a big weekend. Friday night we went to eat with the Hilleshiems and the Holcombs. You were soooo good at dinner and then also at the Mulberry Jubilee. It was a little carnival where Kaleigh and Masyn rode a few rides, all the guys played the quarter machines and midway games, and you just walked around looking at everything. The only bad part was that it was extremely cold due to the wind. We didn't stay very long, but it was fun to get out with all of them. Afterwards we went back to Dawn & Jody's where you had a "ball" playing with the pool table. Saturday we went to Snow Fest at PCC. You didn't think too much of the big snow mound. It was pretty cold and wet. Daddy tried to help you climb it, but you just kept slipping. Then Saturday night, we went to Texas Cattle Company for Daddy Dave's birthday dinner. You were good for about the 1st hour and then started to get ansy and had to go outside. After that we went to Daddy Dave and Gram's church for the Christmas play. It was pretty funny and you seemed to enjoy it. You really liked when the choir sang. They had lots of lights going and you just sat there and clapped along with everyone else. It was very cute!

Today I took you to see Santa at the Eagle Ridge mall. You wouldn't smile for anything, but just kept looking at him like "Hey man, who are you?". I ended up buying pictures anyway just because it's a memory whether you're smiling or not. Every time you looked toward the camera you kept waving at it, so that's the shot we got. You didn't appear to be scared of him, but just curious. After that I let you stay out of the stroller and walk all through the mall since it wasn't very crowded. Then you played in the little play area with the bear, tent and tree trunk before we headed to the food court for lunch and a ride on the merry-go-round. You were so good all morning like a little angel.
Sunday, December 03, 2006
Yesterday your Daddy put up the Christmas lights for you. He was completely prepared to just hang a few strands, but ended up putting up the icicle lights, wrapping the trees and we even got a blow up snow globe for the front yard since you like them so much. Tonight Daddy even got on the roof and added more across the front of the house. You are so full of excitement when you wander the yard looking at the lights and knocking on the globe at Santa and the reindeer.

After a few whiny, blah days and a little tugging of the ear, I took you to the doctor today. You have an ear infection in your right ear and the start of one in your left. Amoxicyllian here we come. Weight at Dr: 26.1 lbs.

Go Gators! Your new trick (which completely pleased Uncle Brian) is to do the Gator Chomp with your arms.
Friday, November 24, 2006
This morning you spent some manly time with Papa, Uncle Brian and the boys while Mommy, Nana and Aunt Christy went shopping. You woke up at Papa's with a poopy diaper so he had to change you - Way to go!! They took all of you to the park to burn off some energy and Papa said you ran all around that place until a dog got loose and stopped you in your tracks. Tonight we went to see Great Grandpa. You and the boys ran around his house and I hope it brightened his day a little.
Thursday, November 23, 2006
We spent Thanksgiving at Nana's house today with Aunt Christy, Uncle Brian and the boys. I took the chocolate fountain and Bryant went nutso! You were sleeping so you missed all the excitement and chocolate rush.
Wednesday, November 22, 2006
Happy Birthday to Daddy! Daddy's birthday present (aside from the clothes we got him) is that he is getting away to go hunting for the weekend. He'll miss Thanksgiving with us, but maybe he'll bring home some deer meat for later :)
Sunday, November 19, 2006
After spending the weekend playing with the boys at Nana's, today we went to Brooklyn's birthday party. They had a bounce house, pizza, and cake, but you were only concerned about the little playhouse. You opened and closed the doors and windows about a million times. Hmmm...maybe Santa will bring you one of those.
Thursday, November 16, 2006
Tonight was the viewing for the Great Grandma. We put a picture of you in the casket so that you can always be with her. Bryant and Caleb were there and you all looked so good all dressed up even for a sad occasion like this.
Tuesday, November 14, 2006
This morning really early your Great Grandma passed away. I am so glad that you got to go to the hospital last week and see her one more time. You really brought a lot of joy into her heart when she saw you and I will make sure you continue to know how much she loved you.
Saturday, November 11, 2006
Today was our Open House for all our family and friends. You spent most of the afternoon outside running around the yard and playing in the sandbox and Bounce House. It was good to see everyone and you were your normal friendly self.

Saturday, November 04, 2006
Today Corey, Daddy Dave and Daddy put a fence up in the yard. Now you can't get to the lake without us. heheYou also had two nights this weekend with just Daddy since Mommy had events to attend. He said you were really good for him. It was good you got some quality Daddy time.
Tuesday, October 31, 2006
Today we went to a Halloween party at Chuck E Cheese that the Lakeland Moms on the Move put on. They had treat bags for all the kids and everyone was in costume. Masyn went with us too since we were keeping him for the morning. You had so much fun running all over that place and giving mommy a workout.Tonight we went to Whisperwood for the annual party. You ran up and down the ditch all night. Daddy took you on a hayride and you got to eat lots of M&M's-your new favorite candy. You will stand at the counter and point to the bowl they are in until I get you some.
Monday, October 30, 2006
Tonight we went to a Halloween Kid Party out at Grainger's house. They had all kinds of food and games for the kiddos. You really liked the little playhouse they had in the yard - it had a door and you stood there and continually opened and closed it.
Sunday, October 29, 2006
Today we took Nana to Olive Garden for her birthday. You wouldn't sit still very long so she insisted on taking you out to the van before they came to sing to her. We convinced her to come back in and get her cake.
Saturday, October 28, 2006
The boys were here this weekend so you got your fill of playing outside at Nana and Papa's house. We also took you to Explorations Children's Museum and you all 3 had a blast. You've added some new words now too...cheese, tea, Barney - your new favorite DVD, and you have a word for Juice, but it doesn't sound anything like it.
Saturday, October 21, 2006
This past week you have just been a silly little guy. You have started dancing and "singing" in the car to the DVDs and in the house when there is music playing. You are also starting to really repeat words and want to only feed yourself (hands or fork). What a big boy you are getting to be!!Today we went to Banana Lake park and then went swimming at Nana's with Bryant and Caleb. Tonight we went to the St. Joseph's Carnival (for about 20 minutes). It was sooooo hot and with no stroller you got heavy quick. There wasn't that much for you to do so we didn't stay very long.
Sunday, October 15, 2006
This past week you have been a pretty sick little guy. You are still running around and active, but with a runny nose and croopy cough. Hopefully you will get better soon or you'll be on your way to the doctor.
Friday, October 13, 2006
Tonight you went in the lake for the first time. I think it's time to get that fence put up. I thought for sure when you touched the edge of the water with your feet that you would run away, but just the opposite happened. You took off into the water. I guess the swim lessons have made you less afraid of the water. I ended up taking your clothes off and just let you play right at the edge. Of course, I was not prepared with a camera or towel so we have no pictures of you, but I'm sure that won't be the last time you take a dip in good ole Lake McLeod.
Sunday, October 08, 2006
See L.J.'s Journey below for a few house pics! More to come later!Nana figured out how to get you to drink milk - add a splash of coffee. You must get that from your mommy. You are settling in well in your new house. You have slept through the night every night since we've been here in your big boy full size bed. I have also been able to watch swimming lessons with the other moms. You are beginning to really enjoy them.
Thursday, September 28, 2006
We are officially moved in! (for the most part anyway) You are now a proud part of the Eagle Lake community. The past few weeks have been hectic, but you have been pretty good throughout the whole move. In addition to getting two molars, you also had your 15 month checkup on 9/22/06. You were completely normal according to the charts...50th % on height 31", 60th % on weight 24.5 lbs. I asked the doctor about you not wanting to drink milk and she said it was ok as long as you were eating other dairy products. I guess you're just a juice kid!We have been staying at the Arnett House on Eagle Lake for the past two weeks. You loved the yard over there and the loooonnng driveway to push your firetruck down. New things you do...blow kisses every time we say goodbye somewhere, your short "bye-bye" has turned into a long southern draw "byyyyeee" (I am waiting for the "ya'll" to be said any day) and you have mastered going up the stairs and almost figured out coming down (you still tumble every once in a while) and you have started wanting to feed yourself with a spoon/fork (although this is quite messy).Your swim lessons are getting much better even though I still have to watch from around the corner. I signed you up again for October to be consistent. Today at the lesson you actually looked like you were really enjoying it and kept wanting the instructor to put you in the water. You also didn't wear your float belt at all - like the bigger kids.
Tuesday, September 05, 2006
First Swim Class without Mommy. Today's class did not go so well. You cried for almost the entire 30 minutes. Miss Sandra said that it is normal and that next time Mommy should walk around the corner so you can't see me. We'll try that and see if it gets better. Even though you were crying, all the other moms couldn't believe how well you were swimming at only 14 months. They all reassured me that their kids cried in the beginning too, but just to let you get used to it.
Monday, September 04, 2006
Labor Day weekend! This weekend the boys were up. You all got your haircut, swam in the pool and played at Nana's. Gina, Scott, Hayden and Quinn were all down from New York so they came over to join us.
Wednesday, August 23, 2006
Mommy and Daddy signed a preliminary contract to sell the house today and we probably have to be out by Sept 21st. That means a lot of packing is in our future.
Saturday, August 19, 2006
Today was Masyn's 6 year old party and Great Nana's birthday party. It rained so you didn't get to go in the pool at Masyn's but you roamed around and had a good time anyway. At Great Uncle Ed's house tonight you had a blast playing with Julia and Bailey. You cooked on the little grill, lounged on the bean bag and even got in the dog's cage. You were quite a sport.
Thursday, August 17, 2006
Today at swim lessons I noticed you had a rash so I took you to the doctor. You had a fever over the weekend in GA and the Dr. said it was just a viral thing. She said it could last up to two weeks but that you were not contagious. Weight: 23.8 lbs. With an ok from the doctor, we headed off to Gosh! to eat sushi with about 10 other moms with kids. They had a separate room for our group and even put cartoons on the TV for you little ones. Everything was fine until the moms got their food and then all the kids started melting down. Next time we'll probably try a buffet.
Wednesday, August 16, 2006
Today in swim lessons the instructor said you can move up to the "Perch" class next month. That class is where Mommy doesn't get in the water with you. You are doing so well with your float belt that she said you were ready.
Tuesday, August 15, 2006
This past weekend we went for your first trip out of state. We flew to Alabama and then headed over for a whirlwind weekend of visiting. On Friday we took a plane ride up to Birmingham where we were VERY cramped in the seats since some guy sat right beside us on a non-full flight. Anyway, you thoroughly annoyed him by trying to push the buttons on his laptop - you go boy! Then we drove to Uncle Brian and Aunt Joyce's house. Saturday was Jackson's first birthday. He had quite a time eating cake and opening presents. You enjoyed playing with his cousins Betsy and Benjamin. Sunday we drove to Ardmore (Elkton) Tennessee to visit with Gram's family. Everyone thought you were adorable and wanted to hold you. You wanted to have no part in the slip and slide with the older kids, but walked that yard so many times I bet you did a marathon length. You finally fell asleep in Aunt Greta's lap and you took a good long nap in the stroller. Monday we drove back to Birmingham and flew home. On the flight back we learned our lesson and took up three seats in the front row so you could run around while we were in the air. The pressure never seemed to bother you, but you also wouldn't nap on either flight-too much excitement.
Sunday, August 06, 2006
Yesterday we went to Lake Bonny Park for Titus' 1st Birthday. You ran around on the big kid side of the park like you owned it. You also didn't want to leave the park to go back to the party pavillion. You have started this little squeal when you don't get your way and boy did you show it. Today we went to Nana's house for Mommy's birthday. You played with the boys and went swimming a little bit.
Tuesday, August 01, 2006
Today we went to an August B-day playdate at Peterson Park with the Lakeland Moms on the Move group. You walked all over and kept trying to take off toward the boardwalk. We had pizza and cupcakes-YUM! Jessica's son Josh (4) loved playing with you and was watching out for you the whole time. Before we headed to the park you said "Bye-Bye" really clear for the first time. You've had the wave down for a while now, but you finally associated the wording with it too - good job!
Monday, July 31, 2006
This past weekend didn't go very well for you or Mommy. We went to Aunt Christy's on Friday night and you were up most of the night crying. Saturday we headed back to Lakeland to go to the Doctor. You had an ear infection and I had Strep throat. GREAT! Now both of us are on antibiotics! (Weight at Dr. = 24 lbs.)Yesterday Nana came over to help us clean and pack so we can put the house on the market. You'll get to move to our new house in the next couple of months. Yeah!! We are going to have fun there since you already want to climb the stairs every time we go over there. Baby gates-here we come!
Thursday, July 27, 2006
You are starting to babble alot now. You said "Mama" for the first time on Tuesday, but only Daddy heard it. You also said "Nite-Nite" a couple of times at Nana's house. Mostly you just talk and we have no idea what you're saying, but you seem to be trying to tell us something.
Thursday, July 20, 2006
We have pretty much gotten into a routine nowadays. We walk with the mommies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then go to swim lessons on Tuesday and Thursday. Today you started kicking and paddling like you're supposed to be learning. You usually don't make it the whole 30 minutes without getting fussy, but you start out really well. We have been very busy meeting contractors and going to pick out colors, etc. for the new house. I will be glad when it's done and I know you will love all the space you'll have to roam around in the house.
Thursday, July 06, 2006
Today was your first swimming lesson at the YMCA. You did very good and seemed to enjoy it. You got to play Humpty Dumpty, Hokey Pokey and did a few "Dolphin" dives. I think you are going to really like going twice a week.
Wednesday, July 05, 2006
You made the paper! The Ledger did a story about a new group of walking mommies that we joined and your picture got in the paper. Here's the link...http://www.theledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060705/NEWS/607050301&SearchID=73249949347876

Happy 4th of July!Last night Daddy and I took you donwtown to see the fireworks. The crowd was enormous and we were hungry so we ended up at Harry's eating while the fireworks were going off. You have been pretty clingy and out of sorts for a few days (probably from the shots) so we didn't think you would like the fireworks anyway.Today we went to the Hilleshiems to swim and eat lunch. Then we went to Sonny's for dinner before heading back to the house to shoot off fireworks. You didn't like them at all and ended up staying in the house with Gram while we finished.
Tuesday, June 27, 2006
Well this week you have been toddling up a storm. Today you really have taken off - across the field, in the house, etc. You are standing up from a sitting position and then walking which is a big step. You are also letting go alot more without encouragement. I bet you'll be walking the soles off your shoes by 4th of July.
Friday, June 23, 2006
ONE YEAR OLD DOCTOR VISIT!Well the doctor says you're a normal 1 year old. She was very impressed you were off the bottle, not taking a pacifier, eating table foods and drinking whole milk. Weight: 22.9 lbs. (50th percentile)Height: 30" (55th percentile)Head Circumference: 18-1/2" (65th percentile)Yesterday for your birthday you had your new pictures made, Mommy and Daddy took you to Chili's for lunch, we visited Nana at work, and then you played outside with Gram and Daddy Dave at night. You got to take your first tractor ride with Daddy Dave. I think you had a pretty good birthday.
Monday, June 19, 2006
Tonight you took your first two real steps. I stood you up against the couch and you took two steps towards me. Daddy and I cheered for you and then you became bashful and wouldn't try it again.
Saturday, June 17, 2006
Today was your first birthday party!!! We had everyone over at the house under a big tent in the backyard. Gram and Daddy Dave did all the food and Nana and Papa brought the drinks, decorations and cake. All the kids played in the little pools and with the swing. You were a little calm for the first part of the party because you were tired, but after you had a little nap you really enjoyed it.Everyone had a good time and you got lots of new toys to play with at the new house.
Thursday, June 15, 2006
We just got back today from a week at in Bradenton. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain due to Tropical Storm Alberto, but we still had a good time. You met some new friends, Ella at the park and Alfie at the mall. You and Alfie were "talking" to each other across the food court so his mom bought him over to meet you. He was only a little older than you, but you both put out your hands like you were shaking hands as a greeting. It was very cute. You also got to spend a lot of time on the boat. You're quite the First Mate for Papa. You want to drive, play with the bait fish and try to use the fishing rods. Even though you are very busy on the boat you do very well and sometimes even get a quick snooze. We went one night to see CARS. We knew you were going to fall asleep so we took you in your PJs. Nana and I wanted to see the movie though so we took a chance and with Papa in tow we headed out to the theater.
Tuesday, June 06, 2006
These past few weekends we have been at the beach. You were really good on the boat and love playing in the water with the boys. When we're there you sleep in the room with me and Daddy, so you have been kinda restless but you're getting more used to it. We have been busily planning your birthday party and can't wait to see you with your cake.
Monday, May 22, 2006
This past weekend you stayed with Nana while Daddy worked & fished and I went to a convention in Orlando. You learned the word "Uh-Oh" and said "Cookie" on Sunday when I got back. We're still working on "mama".We are working on getting you to stop sucking your thumb which is something you just picked up a few weeks ago. I think it has already become a form of security for you so it may be hard to break the habit.Today you went to the Dr. for what we thought was an ear infection. Turns out you just have fluid built up - probably from teething. Weight at Appt: 23.8 lbs.
Sunday, May 14, 2006
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! Today we went out to lunch with Gram, Daddy Dave and Nana, and then to dinner with Nana and Papa. This morning you and Daddy got me some PJ's and new tennis shoes - Yeah! It was a great first Mother's Day for me with you to thank for it!
Monday, May 08, 2006
Ahoy Matey!! We went CRUISIN'!!!!!!!!!This past weekend we went on the Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. You were really good the whole time. There wasn't a lot for you to do on the ship since you are so little, but you were fine sitting in the stroller, being carried in someone's arms, or roaming around in the room. The first day we boarded the ship and immediately started eating. You loved all the food. Then we headed up to the deck for the Sail Away party. We were all dancing and singing with the characters. We went to Nassau the second day and took a crazy taxi ride (with no carseats - you looked confused). We toured the Atlantis and the aquarium there before heading off to the Straw Market. The aisles were so crowded and the strollers barely went through them, but you didn't seem to mind since you fell asleep in all the chaos. That afternoon we went to the movie theater onboard and watched "The Wild", but once again you were not interested and slept through the whole thing in Daddy's arms. Each night at dinner we ate in a different restaurant but had the same servers. They were great at catering to you, Bryant and Caleb. The last day we went to Castaway Cay. Since it was the first time you were at the beach it was neat to see you feel the sand and water. You probably would have sat at the water's edge all day if we would let you. You tried to eat the sand a few times, but mainly you just felt it in your hands. After a BBQ lunch on the island, you took a nap with Nana & Bryant under the umbrella while the rest of us got some sun. The whole trip was a good time and you were a wonderful baby throughout the adventure. We will probably wait several years before returning on a cruise so you can really enjoy it and remember it, but as a first-time cruiser you were a-ok.When we got back on Sunday we drove past our new house. It is coming along so fast now that in no time you will be an Eagle Lake boy!
Tuesday, May 02, 2006
Today we went to the Lowry Park Zoo with Nana, Papa, Aunt Christy, Bryant and Caleb. This was your first trip (other than when you were in my belly). You liked looking at the animals and even played in the water squirting area a little bit. I think the water was cold because you had a strange look on your face. The day was beautiful, not too hot and no rain.
Monday, April 24, 2006
This weekend you perfected the art of drinking from a straw - with sweet tea. For some reason you know the difference between milk and tea. Milk you could care less about drinking from the straw, but sweet tea you suck up with no problem.
Tuesday, April 18, 2006
Today after Kindermusik we went to Chuck E. Cheese with some of your friends. Since the place wasn't crowded, all you little ones got to just run/crawl around and get into everything. Then we all ate lunch and headed home. It was nice to have a place in the air conditioning since it is getting so hot now.
Sunday, April 16, 2006
EASTER!! Today we went down to Gram and Daddy Dave's for a while before going to Easter Dinner at Great Aunt Sheryl's. Gram got you a basket full of goodies, clothes and a new push toy. At dinner Julia and Bailey followed you around wanting to pick you up the whole time. Everyone couldn't believe how big you had gotten and how much you were standing and cruising.
Thursday, April 13, 2006
SHAKE! SHAKE! SHAKE!SHAKE! SHAKE! SHAKE!Shake your bootie! That's all it takes is to sing that song to get you to dance. You bounce up and down pretty good to the rhythm.
Wednesday, April 12, 2006
You now have both front two top teeth, both front two bottom teeth and you are getting the two on both sides of the top ones. Better to eat with!!!We celebrated Easter with Bryant and Caleb a week early since they won't be in town for the real holiday. We ate dinner at Nana and Papa's and then you watched as mainly Bryant found all the Easter eggs in the backyard. You were two small to hunt for them yourself, but I'm sure next year will be a whole new ball game.Last week I was really sick so we missed going to Storytime and Mommy & Me. You seemed so glad to be back at M & M today. You and Christian chased each other through the tunnel and just laughed and laughed at each other for a long time. All the moms kept commenting on cute you were with your tongue sticking out. The whole time we were there you kept sticking it out and smiling at everyone.
Sunday, April 02, 2006
This weekend was full of pool fun. Yesterday you went in the big pool with Papa and today you got in your little pool here at the house. You really like being in the water. You also learned how to clap your hands this weekend. You had been doing it if you had objects in your hands, but now you just clap on command, when you're excited, or just to be moving around.
Saturday, April 01, 2006
1st HAIRCUT! Today you visited Margo for your first trim. You sat on my lap and were pretty interested in the brightly colored cape. You sat pretty still and she was able to clean up your neck and ears so you look more like a little boy now. (See Pics)
Thursday, March 30, 2006
9 Month Checkup!Today you received 2 shots and a finger stick for blood at your appointment. You were not too happy. Your ear infection was clearing up though so that's a good thing. Weight: 21 lbs. 13 oz. (70th percentile)Length: 28-1/2 inches (50th percentile)
Friday, March 24, 2006
1st EAR INFECTION!! After a LOOONNNGGGG night of you being awake and screaming, I took you to the doctor today. It ends up you have an ear infection in your left ear. Well no wonder you were upset. I guess it's pretty good to go for 9 whole months of life before you got your first one. The doctor gave us the tried and true Amoxicillin. Weight at Dr: 21 lbs. 14 oz.Next week you go for your scheduled 9 month checkup. You also have another tooth on the bottom coming in.
Monday, March 20, 2006
2nd TOOTH! This morning after weeks of it almost coming through, your left front tooth finally made its entrance into your mouth. So now you'll have your two front teeth just in time for Easter - like a bunny :)
Sunday, March 19, 2006
This weekend we went down for a visit with Bryant and Caleb. Now that you are crawling around and pulling up on everything, you are more fun for them to play with. You made your way down the little steps into their playroom with a little hesitation, but no fear.
Tuesday, March 14, 2006
You are now pretty much only eating real people food. Even with only one tooth, you can eat chicken nuggets, most vegetables if they are soft enough and you also like pulled pork from Sonny's. Now we have to start paying for a meal for you in the restaurants - I guess you'll have to get a job soon to help out!
Thursday, March 02, 2006
Well this week you stood in your crib, ate real people food in restaurants, bit your lip for the first time and got your first popknot when you fell into the knob on the entertainment center. I guess for a while now I will be Nurse Mommy with all your bumps and bruises. You are also pulling yourself up really well now on furniture, but you only stand for a minute before you sit back down.
Thursday, February 23, 2006
1st TOOTH! Today your front top right tooth poked through the gums. No wonder you have been so cranky lately. That must hurt! Anyway, now you're on your way to a full set of chompers!
Wednesday, February 22, 2006
This past weekend we went to Bryant and Caleb's birthday party (Four and Two). There were lost of kids there and you enjoyed being around them all. You especially liked the cake part and the Bounce House. You did come back to Lakeland with a cold though, so you have been a runny nosed kid for the past few days now. Oh well - I guess it happens. Your new trick is trying to pull up on everything. You want to stand up so bad. It kinda makes everything we own a danger to you right now.
Tuesday, February 14, 2006
Happy Valentine's Day! You were once again spoiled on a holiday. Aunt Christy sent you a little red motorcycle and stuffed doggy, Nana got you a sand bucket full of food and a Bubble Maker, and Gram got you some snacks and 3 new outfits. We went to Kindermusik today and you wore your Valentine outfit. You were so cute crawling around with all the other kids.
Thursday, February 09, 2006
Today you officially became a CRAWLER!!! You have been scooting around for a while, but today we went to a Mommy & Me class and after playing with all the other crawlers, you came home and took off in every direction. I thought the tile in our house would be a barrier (it sure hurts Mommy's knees), but all it does is slow you down when you hit it until you realize what it is and then off you go. It's going to be a whole different world now.

This past Sunday you went on your FIRST FISHING TRIP!!! Daddy and I loaded up your snacks and toys, lathered you up with 50+ lotion and squeezed you into your life jacket before heading out on Banana Lake. You seemed to enjoy it, which was no surprise since you love it outside. After a few hours, Nana and Papa came out there and you hopped on their boat. Since Nana doesn't fish she kept you entertained. You were a very good boy!

This week we started a new semester of Kindermusik. You were so excited to be back in the room with all the kids. You wanted so badly to get down and crawl around with the others. Almost all the other children are walking or crawling, but you mananged to scoot around and make your presence known with your little squeals. Miss Wendy calls you the singer in the class. We also joined our playgroup mommies at Peterson Park on Thursday. You played in the swing for a long time and then wanted to get down on the ground. I sat you on the rubbery part by the play equipment and you just watched all the kids. A lot of the kids like to come up and make faces at you so you'll laugh. I am also trying to feed you some real food now instead of the same old baby food everyday. Friday you had real maple and brown sugar oatmeal. After you got used to the texture you gobbled down the whole bowl.

Last week you discovered a new sound. One day you just repeated it over and over for about 15 minutes in the car like you were impressed with your own voice. The sound is "Who-Da". So when you shorten it, it just sounds like "Da". Your Daddy loves it. You have had a runny nose for about a week now, but even with that you are sleeping pretty well. In the past two weeks, you only had a bottle in the middle of the night twice. Other than that you are sleeping from about 7:00pm to 5:30-6:00 am. I'm sure it will change when you actually start getting teeth. You are also rocking ALOT on all fours so crawling is around the corner I'm sure. Then I will have to corral you into (or out of) the rooms using the doors. I can't wait!

This past weekend we went to Cape Coral to visit Aunt Christy and her 3 boys! You played a lot on the floor with Bryant and Caleb since you are sitting up so well by yourself. We went to the park and you slept in the playpen in Bryant's room. It was a good weekend to have a nice relaxing visit while your Daddy was hunting in Georgia.

You have been coughing so much from your cold that you ended up with a broken blood vessel in your eye. (see pics)
