December 2006

12/31/06 - New Years Eve! Tonight we had a get together at our house and we cooked fish, deer, ribs and other goodies. We shot off some fireworks and even though you shook every time they went off, you didn't seem to mind them. We could see big ones being shot off across the lake and you liked to look for those too. Later you went to sleep at Nana's so Mommy and Daddy could sleep in the next day.

12/27/06 - Since the boys were still here, today we went to Explorations. They were making gingerbread cookies. You started out wanting to help, but I ended up finishing it up. Nana and Papa got us a Family membership to Explorations so we can go more often now.

12/25/06 - Christmas Day! We woke you up this morning to come down and see what Santa left for you. He brought you a Little Tikes Playhouse, a wheelbarrow, a puppy ball pit, PJ's and a few other things. You wanted nothing to do with opening the wrapped gifts. All you wanted to do was play with the playhouse - open the door, close the door, open the door, etc.
Later we went to Nana and Papa's where you got a bunch more presents including a little 4-wheeler (battery operated). You rode it around in the garage since it was raining. We just have to teach you to steer now.
For lunch we went to Gram and Daddy Dave's where you opened your big box which was a climber for outside. Since it was still in the box you weren't quite sure what it was. Later you played with it at home all set up.
Next it was back to Nana's for a nap and then over to Aunt Lisa's for one final round of presents. By the end of the day you were ready to get to bed and Mommy and Daddy were too.

12/24/06 - Christmas Eve! We went to Uncle Ed's house for dinner tonight and you got to open up some gifts too. You got some trucks, blocks, and a Donald Duck that talks. You had a good time running around the pool and following Anna.

12/22/06 - 18 MONTH CHECKUP!
Weight: 27.7 lbs
Height: 32.5 inches
One Hep A shot received with very little crying.
After the doctor today, we went up to Arnett for the Christmas lunch. You stayed with Gail while Mommy ran to the store. You were all over that shop. Counting breakers, pushing the pallet jack, and picking up the coins that the guys were using to "pitch pennies" up against the wall. You had a good time, but we paid for it later since your nap was all messed up.
