Saturday L.J. and I went out to the Polk Kids Nature Fest at Tenoroc. It was a cute little festival. He got to see all kinds of reptiles, bugs and learn about lakes and nature. He touched a snake, brought home ladybugs and made a marshmallow spider.
That night Jay and I went to Ashlea's surprise birthday party while L.J. stayed with Mom. We went back there for the night and then woke up early Sunday to go fishing.

Sunday we spent the day in Bradenton/Anna Maria fishing and parked up under the Longboat Bridge so L.J. could swim for a while. He was so good all day long (and we were out there for a LONG time). Mom made him a tent on the back of the boat and he sat under that playing most of the time when he wasn't fishing or playing with the bait fish.
Funny things he said that day...after we caught bait "We have the bait fish, now we need the tackle fish"..."They don't call me L.J. for nothin'". Some of the things he says these days are hilarious.

After such a beautiful weekend, Monday turned out to be pretty gloomy. It rained most of the day and was dark and windy.

Tuesday I put the Balance Buddy on L.J.'s bike and took the training wheels off. He definitely needs some practice to get the two wheels thing down. He said "Whoa, whoa, whoa" all the way down the street.

Wednesday we picked up all the cookie dough from L.J.'s school fundraiser and took it over to Mom's freezer because no one was home to deliver it to them right then.

Thursday was Corey's birthday so we went over to Manny's Chophouse in Lake Wales for dinner. It was delicious and we will definitely go back. The kids loved that they brought out ice cream for them as well as the birthday boy.

Friday I had a meeting with L.J.'s teacher for his end of the year evaluation. She said he has really come out of his shell the past couple months and that he is ready for kindergarten. He still needs to work on his pencil grip, scissor handling and using past tense "-ed" words. Everything else was great and he was at the top of his game.
We met Aunt Barb, Aunt Lisa and Grandpa for lunch that day at Palace Pizza and then Aunt Barb and L.J. swam all afternoon. That night L.J. picked where we went to dinner and he chose Ling's Buffet....yum sushi!

Saturday Mom, Nanny and I headed down early to Lake Placid for Heather's baby shower at Lisa Gail's. We had a great time and did a lot of laughing. While we were gone L.J. and Jay hung out at the house and then went over to swim with Dad. That night we went out to Ale House for dinner.

Sunday we had a fish fry at Corey's house. The kids all swam for hours and hours. L.J. was one tired little boy at the end of the night.

Today L.J. was so excited that he got all his prizes for raising money at the Trike-A-Thon. He got his t-shirt, bear and bear backpack. We practiced the bike riding again too.
