Sunday was Jay's birthday. We went to Mt Fuji for dinner that night....it was yummy and L.J. loved watching the cooking man.

Monday Jay and I worked until lunchtime and then we headed out for the long drive to Alabama to visit with Brian and Joyce. L.J. did good in the car until about the last 3 hours when we heard "Are we there yet?" every 10 minutes. Jay started responding to it with "Do you want a blanket to take a nap?" and eventually he stopped asking. When we got there it was late so we just saw them for a little bit before heading over to the lake house we stayed in on Weiss Lake to get some sleep.

Tuesday we went out to breakfast and then went back to the house so the boys could play. Brian took Jay and I to Little River Canyon Falls and Ft. Payne. We wanted to go to the Alabama Fan Club and Museum, but it was closed that day. So we settled for being tourists and getting pics with the bronze statues in the middle of town. That night we went out to eat for Jay and Brian's birthdays at Top of the River seafood place.

Wednesday we all went to see the movie Planet 51...very cute space movie! Then that night we had Thanksgiving dinner at Brian and Joyce's with all of Joyce's family. L.J. got to play with her niece and nephews and they had a ball.

Thanksgiving Day we drove over to Tennessee to have lunch with the Hemphill family. The boys got to play in the leaves outside the church and climb on the trees and fences. We took some family photos and then headed over see the Casteels for their dinner. L.J. wanted to ride over there with Logan. When we got there, there were a lot of little kids for L.J. to play with. He was in heaven running around playing with the toy guns and being good guys and bad guys. When we left there we went over to Greta and Jack's for a while before going back to the lake house.

Friday morning we left Alabama and made our way to the hunting camp in Georgia. When we got there L.J. and I walked around a little in the woods with Jay looking to scare up some deer. He stayed for the rest of the weekend and L.J. and I made the trip back home.

PHOTOS FROM THE WEEK
Saturday we went over to Grandpa's to decorate cookies and help put up the tree. L.J. actually iced and sprinkled several cookies...way more than I thought he would. We had fun sitting around with all my cousins trying to be creative with the cookies. Then we went over to Mom and Dad's to hang out for the night.
