Life on the Lake

Sunday Jay went hunting with Lloyd that morning and then we headed over for L.J. and Jay to swim for a little bit in the chilly pool at mom and dad's. Later we went to dinner with them at Ruby Tuesday's before coming home to watch the Handy Manny Motorcycle Adventure movie. L.J. had a page out of a magazine that mom had given him that we've had hanging on the pantry to remind us to watch the movie on Disney.

Monday was a work/school/ball game day as usual. Nothing too exciting.

Tuesday after school we started our papier mache pumpkins. Being that L.J. hates to be messy watching him with the flour/water mixture was hilarious. He lasted about 10 strips of newspaper before wanting to wash his hands. I ended up finishing the rest and then we let them dry overnight. We also went on a bug hunt in the neighborhood and found a snail and bug. He put them in his little bug jar from school with a leaf and a flower.

Today since our pumpkins weren't completely dry enough to paint yet we made a Q-tip skeleton instead. Then we did a good bike ride tonight after dinner.
