Life on the Lake

This week was pretty quiet. Monday L.J. went to school and then I took him afterwards to Toys "For" Us as he calls it to spend the remainder of his gift card. He of course wanted something Power Rangers...his new obsession. He ended up with a pair of PR glasses.

Tuesday we went over to Mom and Dad's and went swimming for a while. Then we spent the afternoon there until mom got home. I had an auditing meeting that night so L.J. stayed there until Jay got off work too.

Wednesday I went shopping for a while and then was lucky to get a same day appointment for L.J. at the dermatologist. He was great when we walked in (excited to ride the elevator), but totally freaked out as soon as the doctor went to touch the wart on his knee. She tried to numb it, but he is a strong sucker and was kicking and screaming. The doctor and nurses left the room for me to calm him down and finally I convinced him to give it a try again with the bribery of a lollipop. It took me, 2 nurses and the doctor to hold him still while she cut off the wart. It took all of about 30 seconds for the whole thing and then he dried the tears in seconds. We walked out with 2 foam airplanes, 2 Spiderman stickers and a lollipop. Done!
