My big 4-yr-old...

Yesterday was L.J.'s birthday...the big 4!!!! His day started with a normal day at school and then I took in cupcakes and goody bags for all the kids after lunch. We spent a quiet afternoon at home and then when Jay got home we gave him his presents from us, had dinner and then a little cake.

He loved all his presents...a farm set, all four Wiggles guys, Spongebob books, 6 new movies, a Toy Story t-shirt and a new big boy bicycle!

He also made a big step that we had been counting down to for the past month. When we got to school, he left puppy in the car instead of taking him inside. Yay L.J.! He was a little hesitant at first, but I convinced him that it was ok. So he gave puppy a hug that morning and said "See ya dude" and then walked into school.

Today was his 4-yr-old checkup. I was so worried that the doctor was going to say something about his weight, but she actually said she wasn't worried about it. She said that he is tall and will probably get taller before he gains more weight at this age. She just said to make good food choices and he will be fine. Everything else was good too. Hearing test....passed, Vision...passed, Weight...57.1 lbs, Height...42-3/4 inches. His height is in the 95th percentile, while his weight is off the chart.

The bad part was that he also got 4 shots and they poked his finger for a blood test. He was not a happy camper, but he recovered well with the lollipop the nurse gave him on the way out.
