Pink tractors and bubble filled pools

Tuesday we stayed at home and Mom came over to watch L.J. that night while I went to a Board Meeting until Jay could get home.

Wednesday after dinner L.J. and I went to celebrate Baskin Robbin's 31 cent scoop nigh benefiting firefighters. L.J. had the Chocolate with M&M's and cookie dough and I had the Mint Chocolate Chip. We picked up a quart to bring home for Jay too :)

Thursday I took L.J. to Janie and then waited ALL DAY LONG for the TV repair guy to come. You gotta love an 8am-5pm window of time and he shows up at 5pm.

Friday was the last day of Jungle Week at school so L.J. took his parrot for Show & Tell. That night we went to Ruby Tuesday's to eat when Jay got home.

Saturday was Brooklynn's 3rd birthday out at Corey's house. She had the cutest pink tractor cake. L.J. loved the giant waterslide and the pool. He was in the water for almost hours that day. Near the end of the night the pool guy added soap to the spa (which spills into the pool) so it was like a big bathtub. All the kids were loving it, L.J. not-so-much. He kept screaming that the soap was in his eyes (even if it wasn't). That night we figured he would sleep really well, but instead he kept having bad dreams and ended up in bed with us.

Sunday we went shopping for some new clothes for Jay and then over to mom and dad's to see their new pop-up camper that they just bought. L.J. can't wait to sleep in it next weekend.

Monday L.J. had school and it was the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week. Day one the kids were supposed to bring the teacher's their handprint in some form. We made little "Thanks for giving me a hand" papers for his teachers. After school we got started on the painting the macaroni (actually rigatoni) for the teacher's necklaces for Wednesday.

Today we went swimming at mom's for a while, went to the mall for a little bit and then to Publix. Before dinner we finished up the necklaces for tomorrow.


Tonight as we were putting L.J. to bed we had to put bedding on that had been washed earlier. I was putting on the sheets, Jay had the pillowcase and L.J. was getting his blanket off the floor and he started singing "What's gonna work? Teamwork! What's gonna work? Teeeeeamwork!" (theme song from the Wonder Pets) It was so appropriate!
