Valentine's Party, Birthday Party and Fishing!

Friday L.J. had his Valentine Party at school. I broke out the camera to take some pics of him and all the kids started bombarding me with "take a picture of me". So I took pics of everyone and printed them out so they could make a poster in their room. He looked so cute sitting at his table eating with his "Lover Boy" shirt on surrounded by girls. The girl to boy ratio in his class is high.

After the party we headed out to Brima to eat lunch with Grandpa, Aunt Barb and Aunt Lisa. L.J. had a ball playing the Leapster with Aunt Barb. He just giggled and giggled the whole time.

That night we went down to Port Charlotte. Saturday we went to Cape Coral for the boys birthday party...Nerf Wars! All the kids (little and big) had a blast shooting each other with the Nerf guns. There were darts everywhere on the playground. We spent the rest of the afternoon at Christy's house relaxing and hanging out. Jay couldn't help it and ended up doing a little work for them since it drove him nuts that the fans weren't wired to a switch...that's an electrician for ya.

Right around dusk L.J. asked for his puppy and that's when the Great Puppy Rescue Mission began. No one remembered him coming back to the house with it so Dad and I drove back to the park where the party had been. As soon as we walked up Dad spotted the little red butt of the stuffed dog sticking up in a little cave thing on the playground. Thank goodness it's not a busy park and that no one had moved it. Whew! That was almost a disaster.

That night we had a special Valentine's meal at Christy's house.
Appetizer - Cheese fondue (The Melting Pot recipe) w/bread, veggies and apples
Main Course - Pork tenderloin, green beans, roasted potatoes and salad
Dessert - Chocolate fondue w/marshmallows, pound cake, cheesecake, bananas, strawberries and pineapple
YUMMMMMMMMY!!!!!

Saturday night mom and dad came back to Port Charlotte with us and we got up Sunday and went fishing. L.J. was really good on the boat despite the fog and cool wind that was present until around lunchtime. It was so thick that it was very hard to see where to go out there. We ended up catching a few trout, snapper, and snook.

Overall we had an awesome weekend and L.J. didn't have a single 3-yr-old meltdown...Hallelujah!!!
