We're back...

Our Thanksgiving week started out with a family photos taken at Hollis Gardens on Saturday with my family. It was very cold and very windy, but we got done pretty quick.

FAMILY PHOTO PICS

Then we loaded up and headed to Georgia to the hunting camp. Jay went for an afternoon hunt and then one more in the morning before we left for Alabama. L.J. and I hung out at camp building a fire and watching movies on the laptop. He thought it was pretty cool to be at Daddy's camp and Jay took him for a ride on the Ranger looking for deer before we left.

When we got to Alabama on Sunday we went to Gadsden for family pics with all of them and then out to eat. We got to stay in Joyce's mom's lake house on Weiss Lake which was beautiful. There was a playground for the kids, basketball courts and plenty of hills for the kids to walk and ride tricycles on.

Monday and Tuesday we just hung out at their house and the lake house and the boys all got to play. Wednesday Joyce and I took Jackson and L.J. to the Fun Factory (indoor inflatables place). That night we had Thanksgiving dinner at their house with all of Joyce's family. L.J. loved playing with her niece and nephews. They were dancing and singing all night.

Thursday we went to Elkton, TN for Thanksgiving lunch with all of Janie's family. It was a beautiful day and the kids all got to play outside in the leaves while all the adults had some chat time.

Friday we went back to the Fun Factory with Jay and Brian in tow and then to Red Lobster for dinner. That night we went to Noccalula Falls for their Christmas event. It was raining so the train wasn't running, but we walked around through the lights, wrote letters to Santa, decorated cookies, played in the petting zoo and had the boys picture taken with Santa.

Saturday we left and went back to the hunting camp so Jay could try one last time for a deer (no luck) and then we headed home. It was nice to be back so that Sunday we could get everything unpacked and put away.

All-in-all there were some slightly boring parts of the trip just because I like getting out and doing things instead of sitting in the house but we also have some really fun memories of visiting with all the family. We wish Brian and Joyce lived closer so we could see them more often.
