Sickies, giving and playdates...

Monday L.J. woke up with a fever so we stayed home for the day. After a dose of Motrin it was gone within a few hours so we never ventured out to the doctor. Instead he got a burst of energy and wanted to decorate the tree. We got everything up in the house and on the tree. We're not big decorators for holidays, but I like to put out a few things for him to get excited about.

Tuesday he spent the day with Janie while I got more shopping done. He had an accident on the tricycle and ended up with scratches on his face and belly, but he doesn't even seem to notice now. That night I had a Juniors meeting where we brought and then wrapped items for our adopted family, Senior Orphans of Polk County and local migrant workers' children. We decided to do this in lieu of exchanging gifts amongst ourselves.

Wednesday L.J. went to school where they decorated little construction paper trees. He however would NOT let them put glitter on it. The teachers were laughing at how adamant he was that there be no glitter. Weird kid. :) When I picked him up we went to Nancy's house for our LMOM holiday playdate. The kids had a book exchange, made snow, decorated cookies, blew bubbles and played with Christmas beach balls outside. L.J. also played with Regan's microphone the whole time and kept taking it from activity to activity around the house. He would stop and announce "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...". Cute!

Last night we finished putting up the lights outside which I can hopefully take a pic of tonight if it stops raining. Today is an awful weather day with tornado warnings, wind and lots of rain.
