Pumpkin Picking Time!

Our playdate Friday went pretty well. L.J. got a little restless near the end of breakfast (we went to Mimi's Cafe). We picked up Mom on the way to Edgewood Park so she got to come to see the rest of the kids play too. L.J. was great at the park and then when he was ready to leave he walked over and grabbed mom's hand, then mine and started to walk us to the car. When he's ready to go, he's ready to go! We went back and had lunch at mom's before heading home for L.J.'s nap. Dave came and got him and he stayed with Dave and Janie Friday night.

That night we had a membership social Spa Retreat at our house for Juniors. We had a blast laughing at each other with skin care treatments all over us. It was a lot of fun and definitely something we don't do enough of as a group. Here are the scrapbook pages I made from the event for Theresa's (our president) scrapbook for this year.

When the group left, I jumped in the car and headed out to meet up with Jay at Corey's house. We went downtown to a few places, but it was pretty dead, not too many people out. Jay and I just stayed at Corey's house that night and then I took him to work the next day.

Saturday I went over to mom's to color her hair and then went to pick up L.J. After his nap, him and I went to the Pumpkin Patch. He wouldn't leave his little plane in the truck so it ended up in all the pictures. He was so cute trying to pick out a pumpkin. Then we went to Fazoli's to eat.

Sunday Mom and Dad came over for a while and then Jay went to work for a little bit. I took L.J. out to Corey's and dropped him off for a little bit until Jay could get there because I went to a reporting workshop for Juniors. Good thing Lacey was there because as soon as he realized I was gone he got a little anxious. She took him outside to the swing and he was ok until Jay got there.

Today I attempted to carve a face on our pumpkin. L.J. wanted no part in scooping out the seeds and kept running from me when I would try to get him to touch them. I think I did ok for just using a knife and never (as far back as I can remember) ever having carved a pumpkin by myself before.

Here's a few new layouts with credits HERE
