L.J. has started saying "Cool" whenever he puts on sunglasses, so we took the pair that he got in a goody bag from Harrison's party and he got a kick out of putting them on and impressing us with "Cool".
We decided to stay and cookout so Lacey and I went to the store while everyone else stayed out to go on the tube. Jay and L.J. went together and Jay said he loved it and did the WHEEE!!! thing the whole time. I had taken my camera with me so we didn't get any pics of the tube. So we hung around and ate dinner and then he played with everyone there until we left around 9:45 to come home. He was sooooo good the whole time and really surprised us swimming in the saltwater. His first reaction was spitting when he jumped in because he's so used to the taste of the pool water, but then he was fine.
Monday we had the Arnett guys and their families over for a cookout and more water fun. L.J. went in the lake a few times and played with Brock in the little swimming pool. We had a water slide set up, but he wouldn't go near that. Funny how the water slide scares him, but being pulled behind the boat on a piece of rubber doesn't. Weird child!
Tuesday we had our monthly luncheon with the LMOMs. We went to Tony's at the airport. They sat us in the back and the kids were able to just run around and look out the window at the planes. When we were done eating we took them out on the balcony and they got to see some of the little planes take off and land. Everyone was very well-behaved and I hope we didn't leave too big of a mess for the restaurant.
Tuesday night L.J. did the most hilarious thing. Paybacks are hell for Jay right now! I had a bowl of popcorn...Jay was laying on the loveseat and L.J. was taking one piece at a time over and putting it in Jay's mouth. On about the 4th or 5th piece, L.J. acted like he was going to put it in Jay's mouth and then he quickly pulled his arm back and popped it in his own mouth and just started laughing. Jay and I were dying. A few months ago Jay did this to L.J. at a restaurant with French Fries and L.J. got so ticked off. I guess he remembered and decided to get Daddy back.
Wednesday we went to Gymboree where we once again pretended to make cookies. Next week is our last class there as we're taking a break for a while.
Today we went to Brandon looking for pasta bowls for my Juniors fundraiser. L.J. is soooo not a shopper. It is all I can do to get him to stay seated in the buggy. It's very annoying, but I guess that's what comes with him being 2.
