Abrir - Open!

So our son speaks Spanish now thanks to Dora the Explorer. He has done it a few times over the past week. His word is "abrir". Dora says it on one of the DVDs he has and he picked up on what it means. He was saying it to Jay the other night at Sonny's when he wanted the coloring book and crayons packet opened. He says it to me when he wants the fruit snacks opened. And he's said it to mom a few times too. What a little smartie!

Wednesday after Gymboree Aunt Sherri, Aunt Lisa, Kinsey and Kendall all came over for a frew hours. L.J. had a blast running around with Kendall. I think he wore her out!

Thursday after swim lessons we went out to visit with Nanny. We took a golf cart ride, went swimming at the clubhouse, ate lunch and her and L.J. colored for a while. Then we headed home and Dave came and picked him up. I was going to walk, but Mother Nature was helping me out since I really didn't feel up to it anyway. It stormed like crazy and knocked the power out about 10 times. So I was a slacker this week on the walking. It just really needs to start getting cooler - I know wishful thinking!

L.J. is actually one of the bigger kids in the class now...

If you're happy and you know it, splash your hands...

Friday we went to Gymboree and pretended to ride on the train, blow the whistle and put coal in the bin. Then we met Jay for lunch at Dona Julia's. Later we went to Mom and Dad's and I helped Dad with a project for work while Jay and L.J. went for a swim.
